Old School Yard
There was a school playground a block from my Grandmother's house where my cousins and I were allowed to go play. I've witnessed this playground evolve over decades, from wooden structures to plastic, and eventually a vacant grassy lot (the school torn down and few houses built in its place). My first friendships were formed with my cousins in the early years of our lives, many of my memories of us are of playing at this school yard. I was torn when I found it's old play equipment replaced with modern, commercial versions identical to any school in the US. The swings and bike rack where the only parts left that had any resemblance to my childhood memories.
